I have just come across The Forest Feast by Erin Gleeson. Apparently I am waaaay behind the curve, but better late than never in this case.
Erin combines SIMPLE veg cooking ideas with whimsical watercolour sketches and photography. I just love her bright illustrations and her simple, nature-loving vegetable-inspired feast food. This is her website.
And look at her latest book. It is about to come out – The Forest Feast – Mediterranean. I will definitely be gifting myself a copy of this.
I am a big believer in the Mediterranean diet. It seems to be one of the diets which has longevity in its health credentials. It is also a fairly simple way of preparing food. It is colourful and beautiful and filled with sunshine. It is a pretty beautiful part of the world too. And I live in a Mediterranean climate – Cape Town – where we love olives, lemons, seafood and hot dry summers.
All in all this sparks great joy – to misquote Ms Kondo.
